Massive fudge sundays at Ghirardelli Square!

The (new-ish) Ferry Terminal is a modern marvel. Turning what was once an ugly, industrial waterfront working building (complete with the decrepit Embaracadero Freeway overpass) into a sunny, spacious public market that is booming wiht vibe. It's a food lover's heaven. Part Pike Place Market, part Granville Island. Only knock it's quite pricey, but where else can you find organic chocolate and mouth watering chorizo empanadas next to each other?

Team Crumpet jetted down to SF for the weekend with family (grand-parents, great grand-parents & cousin Abby + her parents Heather & Ivan).

Later we visited the Cable Car museum. What made it so fascinating is the fact that it's less a museum than an actual working plant where you can see the cables winding its way in & out of the depot and circulate around the city to power the cable cars. Highly recommended for a visit.

Lynden is most famous as the basis for the movie ''Footloose''. It's also mostly Dutch.

Lynden Fair takes place in Whatcom County, home to most of the farms in Washington state and thus the fair has a distinct rural feel with plenty of animals & fried food. None more potent than the ''Corn Brat''. Basically a corn dog but made with a German bratwurst. It is incredibily probably the greasiest food I've ever tasted in my life.

Going Medieval

It's funny to see George Bush continuing to defend America's torture policy.

According to Bush, without torturing suspects we can't get the information.

I say if we're going medieval why stop there?

Why not also kill the suspect's family, rape their women, burn down their house and create a secret police to snatch people in the middle of the night. This should teach them to not mess with America.

Sometime it's hard to believe we live in the 21st century.

Crumpet update

Baby Crumpet is....

7 1/2 months

Standing up (but not walking, yet)

Holds her own bottles, like drinking beer

Has two teeth

Sits in a high chair, but you need to create a ''no fly zone''

Eats loads of food - favorites are butternut squash & corn, bananas and pears. Peas? Not so much.

Goes to bed around 7:30pm until 7:00am next morning

Had some diaper rash, quickly squashed by ''butt paste'' - best name ever for medicine
